The Superintendent's Financial Statements for the month ending February 28, 2011, does not reflect any unexpected trends through eight months of the 2010-2011 fiscal year.  The Food Service Fund shows a decrease in revenue of approximately 1.5% year-to-date, with local sources showing the largest dollar drop while the money the District receives through the Free and Reduced Meals Program has increased by 7% from the prior year.  Expenditures in the Food Service Fund have increased over 9% from the prior year.  This is most likely attributed to the increased cost of fuel over the prior year.  Overall the Food Service Fund is anticipated to end the fiscal year in a positive financial position.  In the Special Revenue Fund, revenue from Federal Through State sources has decreased over 8%.  This is due to a reduced amount of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding being received this year.
